Currently Chairman of Nebraska Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, P.C.,
& Chief Orthopedic Surgeon for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Dr. Clare
needs little introduction to those involved in athletic arenas
across Nebraska. Dr. Pat Clare has been instrumental in establishing
Nebraska Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine as a prominent orthopaedic
and sport medicine facility for the State of Nebraska. And his
contribution to advancing athletic health care on a collegiate and
national level is showcased at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,
Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Division of Athletic
Medicine.
Following military duty in the United States Air
Force, Dr. Clare began his orthopedic practice in Lincoln, and
continues a 28 year career as Team Physician to the Huskers. Dr.
Clare not only has become synonymous with caring for Nebraska’s
Champions, but has enabled countless injured athletes to return to
being successful, competitive athletes once again. Dr. Clare’s
orthopaedic and sports medicine repertoire has brought athletes to
Lincoln from across all borders of Nebraska, in addition to athletes
from all levels of competition in the Olympics, Professional,
Collegiate, & High School ranks. Dr. Clare considers caring for the
Nebraska Cornhusker Athlete as the epitome of being a sports
medicine physician.
